I have been involved with golf since I was 11 years old, back in April of 1955. I have been basically self-taught, originally out of a Byron Nelson instructional book. Other swing influences were Sam Snead, Adam Scott and Butch Harmon. No, not Arnold or Tiger. I love both of them, but not the best of swings for the regular golfer trying to improve a bit. I have had about 15 lessons in my life. Brian Crafter, an Australian pro who is now deceased, and Dr. Jim Suttie and his crew of professional golf instructors, and from Roger Dunn, while his pro shop empire was out of a trailer on a driving range in the San Fernando Valley.
IF I AM CRAZY ENOUGH TO PLAY THIS GAME, TO LOVE IT, TO BE ENAMORED BY IT, THEN I CAN CERTAINLY ATTEMPT THIS BLOG AND VIDEOS, AND ACTUALLY BELIEVE I CAN HELP YOU. I HAVE AIDED A FEW FRIENDS THROUGH THE YEARS THAT ARE HAPPY WITH MY INSTRUCTIONAL RESULTS !!!!
I love instruction and observing golf swings and movements. I try for simplification of a full, long swing with proper follow through with most golfers. These 2 swing accomplishments will be big in you hitting the ball, “ALWAYS DOWN THE MIDDLE”
I hope you will enjoy the articles and videos throughout the year and comment whenever you feel the urge.
I am not a PGA pro, however, my knowledge of the swing, and my own swing and steadiness, and views of shot creation and thought, will make you a better player.
